VACANCY NOTICE
DEFENCE OFFICE MANAGER
The Office of the Defence Adviser (ODA) within the Australian High Commission, Islamabad, has a vacancy for a locally engaged employee, as the Office Manager.
An excellent locally engaged staff work-conditions package will be offered, with salary decided according to relevant qualifications and experience.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
• Provide specialist administrative and financial management advice within the Defence Section
• Manage the Defence section’s budget, accounts and administration to a very high standard
• Efficiently and effectively manage the Defence Cooperation Programme (DCP)
• Arrange all aspects of domestic and international travel for the Defence section
• Arrange the procurement, maintenance and disposal of all Defence section equipment and supplies, and maintain the Defence section inventory registers
• Supervise tasking of personal staff of Defence members
The successful candidate will have:
• A good understanding of IT systems and be trained and experienced in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Relevant tertiary education qualifications.
• Relevant administrative and financial management experience.
